Dr. Karl Glander II (also known
as “Dr. Skip”) grew up on the south side of Indianapolis.
After his graduation from Indiana University and I.U. School of Dentistry,
he practiced general dentistry on the near east side for five years. Dr.
Glander then completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at Montefiore
Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he published
research on craniofacial syndromes. He has also been an instructor at
I.U. School of Dentistry. Dr. Glander has hospital privileges at St. Vincent
Children’s Hospital Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center, a statewide
referral center for children and adults with facial deformities. His personal
interests include computers, and he is an avid sportsman, fisherman, pilot
and former golfer. He is married and has three children.
Dr. Karl Glander Sr. began his
practice of orthodontics in Indianapolis in 1964. Throughout his years
of practice, he has established a reputation for excellence with patients,
colleagues and other health care professionals. A graduate of Butler University,
he received his D.D.S. from I.U. School of Dentistry and his master’s
degree in orthodontics from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Dr. Glander
Sr. has contributed to numerous professional publications, been an active
member of study clubs, served in hospital staff positions and been a part-time
instructor in orthodontics at I.U. School of Dentistry. He is actively
involved in community affairs and numerous environmental organizations.
Both doctors are members of the Indianapolis District Dental Society,
American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Great
Lakes Association of Orthodontics, American Cleft Palate & Craniofacial
Association and Indiana Society of Orthodontists.
